Hello Ftm mummies,

I have been absent for a while, I apologise I have been super busy with life and mummy’ing. We (Kunmi and I) are in Manchester for holidays and I have to tell you it is an experience travelling with a baby. The first time we travelled together he was tiny and I didn’t have any trouble at all, this time oh my gosh traumatic. I will tell you all about it in my next post as well as give you some tips on how to travel with older babies (9months – 24months)

Kunmi has been eating everything and anything which is very cute , I cannot believe how much he has grown. I had mentioned I will put up a recipe for one of his fave meals and here it is.

This recipe is baby and mummy friendly so feel free to make a family meal out of it. The pictures are from my Iphone so please forgive the quality. I also used Fusilli instead of Spaghetti but you can substitute it for any pasta just makes sure you break it into pieces your baby can handle. There is also baby pasta that Heinz makes that is very tiny and comes in different shapes.


What you need


Pasta Sauce or (chopped plum tomatoes , garlic , onions and Italian seasoning)

Minced meat ( I used extra lean mince )


Sunflower oil preferably Olive oil



The main main

Pour some olive oil into the pan and wait for it to heat up a little , add the mince to the oil and cook till the colour is brown and even, you can your onions at this point as well as salt to taste.

As your mince is cooking put the pasta on, add salt and a dash of olive oil into the pot with the water and cook till its soft.

When your mince is brown add your chopped tomatoes to the mince, if you are using pasta sauce makes sure you get rid of the excess liquid in the mince and then add your sauce. Leave to cook for about 7 mins and add your italian seasoning, garlic and mushrooms at this point, again if you are using pasta sauce you don’t need the extra seasoning.

NB: Make sure you are careful with the amount of salt you put in it because baby is going to have some as well. Once its cooked , sieved your pasta pour some sauce over it and you are ready to chow!


You can add some grated parmesan and garlic bread with white wine to fancy it up for you and hubby , not for baby lol.
