Kunmi is currently obsessed with Dragons and I don’t even know where he picked up the Dragons from, he also seems to think that dragons are real and he wants me to take him to see a dragon. Ah! the sweet innocence, so while I am figuring out how to break it to him that there really is no dragon hanging around in Lagos waiting for Kunmi to come and visit, I decided we should both make a fire breathing dragon at home.
It pretty easy for you to make this dragon with your child, here are a list of things you will need.
Gluppy Glue (Glue)
Googly Eyes
Pom Poms
Cardboard
Scissors
Cellotape
Markers
Crepe Paper
I know this list might seem a bit scary especially for those living in Nigeria, but I can assure you, you can get all these things at the stationary section of your favourite supermarket.
Here is the Main Main
Cut out a strip of cardboard and roll it into a cylinder , glue the sides together or tape it if that’s easier. You should have a tube.
Glue the googly eyes to the pom poms to make the eyes and then glue onto the cardboard.
Cut out two small semicircles and use the marker to draw a nose opening onto both, fold them in half and glue on the tube for the nose.
Cut your crepe paper (orange and yellow) into strips and glue them on the inside of the tube for the fire effect and you should have a dragon!!!
Your child can blow throw the tube for the fire breathing effect!
